Disney’s Contemporary Resort has its theme for this year’s chocolate Easter egg display: the Muppets! Guests can find these detailed showpieces created by culinary Cast Members in the lobby near Steakhouse 71. The Muppets Easter Eggs In the center of the display is Miss Piggy atop a table. To one side are Statler and Waldorf in their theater booth. Behind Miss Piggy are various Muppet eggs in archways inspired by the opening sequence of The Muppet Show. Miss Piggy, crafted by Cast Member Erick, has a pair of egg-shaped light features and roses at her feet. Statler and Waldorf were created by Cast Members Brandi, Carisa, Donald, and Desirey. Their booth is red with gold decorations and curtains. The eggs in the back represent Sam Eagle, Sweetums, Kermit, the Swedish Chef, Fozzie Bear, Beaker, Dr. Bunsen Honeydew, and Animal. Fondant and icing create the details of each display, like filigree on the archway and Sam Eagle’s hat. Sam was made by Molly, Sweetums by Taurea and Clay, Kermit by Hannah and Clay, and Swedish Chef by Hannah. Fozzie and Animal were also created by Clay, while Beaker and Bunsen were made by Desirey. If you are planning a Volcano Bay day this spring, there is one thing you need to sort out before you ever walk through those gates. ??

Though The Grand Cottage may not return, intricate Chocolate Easter eggs are now on display throughout Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. These eggs are designed by various Grand Floridian culinary Cast Members. They can be seen throughout the second floor of the main building, and in the entryways of the Big Pine Key and The Villas buildings. Lobby (Second Level) There are two eggs in the display windows at the front of M. Mouse Mercantile, a gift shop near the Monorail station on the lobby’s second floor. In the left window (when outside the gift shop) is an egg inspired by The Little Mermaid, created by Cast Member Juan. Ariel is a 3D sculpted fondant figure sitting on rocks with coral and seaweed. Sebastian is beside her, and Flounder is in her lap. The egg behind her features seahorses and fish. King Triton’s palace is in the background. On the back is Ursula’s face. Flotsam, Jetsam, and some poor, unfortunate souls are on the base. Ursula’s tentacles wrap around the sides of the egg. In the window on the right is a Mulan-inspired egg by cast member Jade. It has a rocky base with red icing trim and a gold Mickey medallion. The front of the egg features Mulan in full armor atop her horse, Khan. The bag of the egg appears to have exploded open. Figures of a started Mushu and Cri-kee are inside. A Bambi egg is in a display case outside Basin. Created by Cast Member John, it has a base resembling a tree trunk with one branch curving up around the egg. Painted on the egg is Bambi with a butterfly on his tail. His mother is in the forest background, along with a variety of animals. Friend Owl and Flower are on the back of the egg with more forest friends. Big Pine Key (Building 9) After entering building 9, guests will see this Hercules-inspired egg on a table in the middle of the atrium. The egg is open on the front with baby Hercules inside. Behind him are the columns of Olympus. Baby Pegasus flies among clouds around the edge of the opening. The clouds continue onto the back of the egg and the base. This was created by Cast Member Victoria. The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian The Villas building is located near Disney’s Wedding Pavilion, so this chocolate creation is inspired by Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings & Honeymoons. The egg on top features an image of Cinderella and Prince Charming in their wedding clothes. Small wedding cakes around the base are inspired by Disney Princesses and wedding themes. The tiny cakes feature Rapunzel’s lanterns, lilypads based on Tiana, Prince Eric and Ariel in their boat, Cinderella’s glass slipper, cherry blossoms, and a golden tiara. On the bag of the egg is a depiction of the stained glass window through which Cinderella Castle is visible in the wedding pavilion. A Monorail is pictured going by, and some ducks are in the water. Disney+ appears to be developing a live-action drama series called Tink, starring the fairy as the main character. Live Action Tinker Bell Tinker Bell made her first appearance in the 1953 animated Peter Pan film, before featuring as somewhat of a mascot for the Wonderful World of Disney. After six animated movies with her in the starring role, a live-action series appears next for the fairy. The series is being developed by Liz Heldens and Bridget Carpenter, Deadline reports. Reese Witherspoon was slated to play Tinker Bell in a project of the same name in 2015. This project was later changed to a drama series. The last live-action Disney Tinker Bell was Yara Shahidi in the Disney+ film Peter Pan & Wendy. Gary Marsh is the executive producer of the series, who was President and Chief Creative Officer at Disney Branded Television until 2021. Liz Heldens and Bridget Carpenter are writing and serving as executive producers along with Quinn Haberman. Recently, Disney dropped a new collection of Stoney Clover Lane featuring the character. Welcome to this quick-service eatery honoring Ms. Marvel—aka Kamala Khan, the first Muslim-American Super Hero in the Marvel Universe. Indulge in flavorful staples like kebabs, pitas, tabbouleh and baba ghanoush. Inspired by the Avengers’ super fans, the eatery sits within a New York—style loft adorned with colorful graphic art and memorabilia celebrating Earth’s mightiest heroes! Although Disney Pal-Palooza: Vanellope’s Sweet Pop World doesn’t officially begin until April 9, Tokyo Disneyland guests can enjoy a month of special themed decorations, food, and merchandise starting today. Vanellope’s Sweet Pop World Decorations Arrive The official Tokyo Disney Resort Instagram accounts for the park and for merchandise shared the news with first looks at the sweets-themed decor now in place around the park, one month ahead of the event start on April 9. A statue in the entrance plaza features Vanellope standing in a bowl overflowing with treats, including marshmallows, cookies, and giant donuts dripping with icing and whipped cream. A “chocolate” plaque next to her bears the Vanellope’s Sweet Pop World event logo. A statue of Wreck-It Ralph is on one of the columns flanking the plaza, standing atop a mound of pink icing with sprinkles. “Pal-Palooza Parfait” Merchandise The merchandise account shared some of the items now available for sale, featuring a “Pal-Palooza Parfait” motif. Along with Vanellope, Chip and Dale are also featured on the merchandise, which includes transparent zip pouches and lidded cups that resemble donut-topped ice cream sundaes. Themed cookies are also shown. More scrim and scaffolding has been installed around the iconic 40-foot-tall Fender Stratocaster guitar in front of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster. The guitar will be repainted as the ride becomes Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Scrim Scaffolding and scrim went up a few days ago, but the top of the guitar was still visible. Additional scaffolding has been installed and covered with scrim, leaving only a bit of the guitar’s body poking out. The scaffolding also extends in front of the guitar, around the piano motif at its base. There are construction walls keeping guests out of the area. When the ride reopens as Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets this summer, the guitar will have a colorful psychedelic design. The piano will include one gold key inspired by Dr. Teeth. Magic Kingdom and EPCOT Lightning Lane Premier Passes have begun to sell out as spring break looms. Here is the latest.

Disneyland Magic Keyholders are receiving a fun surprise in the mail this year- a new collectible called the Magic Key Road Trip 2026.

After nearly three years of start-and-stop painting, all the futuristic rocks in Walt Disney World’s Tomorrowland have been completely repainted. Tomorrowland Rock Painting Complete The Tomorrowland rocks in June 2023 at the start of the repainting project The Tomorrowland rocks were previously repainted in 2016, when their original reddish-brown shade was replaced with a more modern, metallic blue-gray finish. They started the process again but stalled back in 2023. The project began with the entryway rocks framing the bridge, but after these were finished, Disney never repainted the other rocks, leaving them a faded, dull gray. The Tomorrowland rocks in early February 2026 We noticed crews back at work repainting the rocks in early February 2026, after a pause of nearly two-and-a-half years. After a month of regular work, the rocks are finally fully repainted in shiny blue hues. The project was able to be completed because the Magic Kingdom moat was drained to accommodate the repainting Cinderella Castle, making it easier to also reach the Tomorrowland rocks. There’s a definite contrast between the more recently painted rocks and the ones completed a couple of years ago. We don’t know if weathering will naturally age the rocks or if additional finishing work is yet to be done to add more shading and depth. Disneyland Paris recently welcomed World of Frozen cast members, who will act as the villagers of Arendelle, to the land for a special celebration. World of Frozen Cast Members Over 350 cast members were selected to become villagers. During a special celebration, they formed a procession in their new costumes and crossed the bridge into Arendelle. Arriving at the Friendship Fountain, they had a musical moment, singing the “Vuelie” theme from Frozen. The cast members met Queens Anna and Elsa, royal emissary Fredrik, and the 2026–2027 Disney Ambassadors, Mónica and Agathe. They were also joined by Oaken, Disneyland Paris President Natacha Rafalski, and Senior Vice President of Operations Christophe Murphy. Fredrik opened the Celebration of the Villagers of Arendelle with the words, “Dear friends, it is with great joy and emotion that I have the immense honor and pleasure of welcoming you here, to the heart of our kingdom of Arendelle. I extend a warm welcome to each and every one of you and congratulate you, for if you are here today it is because you have received the honors of the Crown and have become authentic villagers of Arendelle!” Each cast member received a new World of Frozen nametag. Cast member selection began last summer. In the winter, the chosen few went through Disney University to prepare for their new roles. They learned about Arendelle’s history, legends, and customs. World of Frozen at Disneyland Paris is set during the Snowflower Festival. It will open to guests on March 29. On the same date, Walt Disney Studios Park will be renamed Disney Adventure World. The National Weather Service in Melbourne, Florida is predicting record-breaking or near record-breaking high temperatures in Central Florida this week. Central Florida Weather For Monday, March 9, the NWS states: Above normal temperatures continue with highs nearing daily record values across the interior. Isolated showers and storms will be possible along the sea breeze this afternoon, primarily south of Cape Canaveral. A moderate risk of rip currents exists at all east central Florida beaches today. They add that temperatures are trending above normal through the next week. They could hit 90°F by the middle of the week. Overnight, temperatures will be in the high 60s. Another cold front will move in on Thursday with storm chances up to 60%. This weather affects Walt Disney World Resort and Universal Orlando Resort. Make sure to stay hydrated if you’re spending time in the parks this week. Stormy weather later in the week could lead to ride closures. With the Spring Break season starting, Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando Resort are both expected to be busy. Lightning Lane Premier Pass has sold out for Magic Kingdom on most days this week. We found this merchandise in Mickey’s Mainsail on the Disney Treasure, but it should be available on all Disney Cruise Line ships. Captain Mickey Loungefly Mini Backpack – $90 Inspired by Mickey’s blue captain outfit, the bottom half of this backpack is a shiny blue with gold stripes across the side pockets. Appliqués and printed details on the front pocket create Mickey’s bowtie, collar, and gold buttons. Above that is Mickey’s face below an appliqué captain’s hat and ears. The zippers are gold-tone. The front pocket has an anchor-shaped pull. The back is solid blue with two adjustable shoulder straps. It also has a top handle.
