Claudia Black won’t return as the Nightsister Klothow in Ahsoka season 2 because Disney couldn’t pay her enough and moved the production to London.Claudia Black Not Returning to AhsokaWhile promoting Spartacus: House of Ashur, Black told Bleeding Cool, “Disney, which is structuring things differently these days, could not pay me what I needed to be paid as a single mother to keep all my responsibilities going at home in Los Angeles, because they were filming in London.”She elaborated to The Hollywood Reporter, “When I did the first season, people assumed that I’m making hundreds of thousands of dollars. It could not be further from the truth on a role like this. [My pay was] closer to what I was earning when I was 19 or in my early 20s.”Black appeared in three of the season’s eight episodes, and though the Nightsisters were an important role, she was not a main character by far.Black added to THR, “I have heard people who work in corporations, not necessarily Disney, but all these bigger corporations, they have spoken in rooms about how lucky the actors should be to be part of a successful franchise, and that they will take it for the screen credit and they will take it for a bit of money, and then hopefully that will bring them further work, but that they should be lucky. The issue I have is when that comes to women, other people who were able to say yes to this job didn’t have the same responsibilities, and that thinking is not designed around how much invisible work women do in a household.“I have a great community, I have an amazing life. It’s just something needs to change and this needs to be discussed, and I knew the risks and I think there’s more power in me stepping back, because I’m not desperate and there’s more power in me talking about it even though there’s so little job security and there’s so little psychological safety in these spaces when women do speak up.” She said she knows Disney’s decisions weren’t personal and that it’s a “difficult situation and the industry is fragile because if you push too hard, nothing gets made.”“I’m not saying I’ve been treated poorly in this instance with Ahsoka, not at all,” she added. “It’s just that we’re not thought about, we’re not factored in, because there’s so much invisible work that women do in a household, even when they’re married. And it’s far from invisible to themselves when they’re an unpartnered mother, such as myself, and I think people assume that I’ve got a whole team of people picking up after me.”After deciding to leave the show, Black sent an email to Ahsoka creator Dave Filoni to “thank him for the ride and for all the happiness on set,” as well as explain the full story to him.She continued, “I hope they understand that me talking about this is not in the least bit personal. It’s about a discussion about the business because it certainly wasn’t built for people like me. And I don’t expect anyone to pay for my life choices except me, but I do want the awareness to grow around the diversity of people in this business. If they want to have the aura of an older woman who has all this lived experience, but they don’t wanna help actually support her, then there’s a problem.”THR said Black’s role would be recast, although Disney and Lucasfilm have not confirmed this. Ray Stevenson played Baylan Skoll is season 1 but passed away before it aired. The character has been recast as Rory McCann. Disney Cast Members are celebrating 100 years of steam power as two of Magic Kingdom’s trains — the Roger E. Broggie and Walter E. Disney — mark their 100th birthdays this year.A Century of Magic Kingdom’s Steam TrainsThese historic locomotives continue to delight Guests and carry Walt’s lifelong love for trains, reflecting Disney’s ongoing investment in preserving the experiences that have inspired generations.Originally built in 1925, both trains spent decades in service long before arriving at Walt Disney World. Their stories intertwine with Walt’s own fascination for railroads — a passion that helped spark the dream of Disneyland and later, the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World.Through ongoing enhancements and meticulous restoration, the Walt Disney World Railroad remains a shining example of how Disney continues to blend innovation with tradition — honoring the past while keeping the magic moving forward.Behind the scenes, Cast Members, including Transportation Engineering Service Manager, Lou Berkheiser, restored and maintained the Walt Disney World Railroad. He reached his original goal of 10,000 laps on the ride on November 13, 2017 but didn’t stop there. The line is now divided into two: parties with an even or odd number of people.Jurassic World VelociCoaster Closes Single Rider LineWhen we were there, the former single rider sign was covered by a black tarp. The team member we spoke to at the attraction said single rider “probably” won’t return.We now know the reasoning behind this decision, and that is to ensure all seats are filled on the popular attraction, which usually boasts a wait time of an hour or longer.Team members are dividing groups into two separate lines: parties with an even or odd number of people. Guests are then loaded onto the attraction accordingly.The official website description of the attraction reads:Speeding through the jungle, rising high above the terrain, it’s the apex predator of roller coasters: the Jurassic World VelociCoaster. Now you can board your vehicle for a high-speed dash through the park’s raptor paddock. Feel the rush of the hunt as you race alongside these nimble predators, twisting and soaring above the land and water. Jurassic World VelociCoaster at Universal’s Islands of Adventure.Guests must be at least 51´´ to ride, and Universal Express Pass is accepted. Jurassic World VelociCoaster is the fastest and tallest launch coaster in Florida. Values increased by 1 to 11 points for Value and Kilimanjaro Club Concierge Deluxe Studios, One Bedroom Villas, and Two Bedroom Villas. Hong Kong Disneyland Resort has launched their first series of mystery ride vehicle figurines, including a Mystic Manor car and a sled from Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs.Mystery Hong Kong Disneyland Ride Vehicles – HK$99Source: Disney Magical Kingdom BlogDisney Magical Kingdom Blog shared a photo of the mystery figures and the box they’ll come in. One mystery box is HK$99 (about $12.72 USD). The box features images of each vehicle and a cartoon map of Hong Kong Disneyland.The six vehicles are an elephant wearing purple from Dumbo the Flying Elephant, a pink and blue tea cup from Mad Hatter Tea Cups, a Jungle River Cruise boat, a Mystic Manor car, a honey pot from The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, and a sled from Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs.The latter attraction opened two years ago with the park’s World of Frozen expansion and remain unique to Hong Kong Disneyland. It looks like the Expo Eats snack kiosk at Universal Studios Florida is getting more than an expansion — it’s being completely rebuilt. The original kiosk, located near Animal Actors on Location, has been demolished and construction is underway on a new one.New Universal Snack KioskSince construction walls went up in October, they have been extended around the site of the old Expo Eats kiosk. The walls were also covered with images of foliage so they “blend in” with the park a little better. The walls start right behind the Face Paint kiosk and wrap around through the Central Park archway.In Central Park, there is a fence and green scrim around the construction zone. We could see through this scrim and confirm the original Expo Eats snack kiosk is gone and the pavement has been torn up.There’s a short wall around the construction zone, but this might be temporary. Smaller planks of wood on the ground appear to outline the new kiosk’s foundation.The original construction permit indicated the kiosk would get new equipment, power upgrades, and new plumbing lines. The permit expires in March 2026.It would make sense for Expo Eats to be rebuilt and renamed. Its mid-century sci-fi theming was designed for the World Expo area of Universal Studios Florida, but it hasn’t been part of that land for nearly 10 years.When The Simpsons replaced Back to the Future in 2008, a large section of World Expo was re-themed into Springfield. That area was technically still classified as World Expo until 2016. The menu display for the new Toy Story Land snack kiosk has been installed, but no menu items are available to view yet.Toy Story Land Snack KioskThe display is designed to look like a piece of paper held up by a piece of tape. Right now, only the word “menu” in crayon style writing is visible.The “tape” was installed earlier this week.Crews have not poured pavement yet around the kiosk, and pipes are still exposed on the interior. The fake windows and awnings have been removed from the façade of the MuppetVision 3D theater in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The theater and courtyard are being transformed for a new Monsters, Inc. land.MuppetVision Windows and Awnings RemovedThe purple, blue, and green faux window shutters previously adorned the brick façade. Their former locations are marked by slightly discolored brick and concrete sills. The hardware that once held banners is also gone.Above the theater’s entrance archways, green awnings have been removed. These held the wait time and Lightning Lane signs, which were removed in October, but the awnings remained until now. The marquee was also torn down in October.For comparison, below is a picture of the facade prior to closing.MuppetVision 3D closed permanently in June. Check out our last look at the attraction’s queue details and watch the final show below.The former Muppets Courtyard will become Monstropolis from Monsters, Inc. A brand-new roller-coaster is under construction at the back of the courtyard. This will take guests into the famous Monsters, Inc. door vault.
