Grown Up Magic was born from a simple realization: there wasn't a dedicated space for Disney adults to find aggregated news, engage in meaningful discussions, and connect with like-minded enthusiasts without feeling like they had to justify their passion.
We launched in 2024 with a mission to create the ultimate hub for Disney news and community - a Reddit-style platform where Disney fans can discover the latest updates, vote on content that matters to them, and participate in thoughtful conversations about the parks, movies, merchandise, and everything in between.
What started as a passion project has grown into a thriving community of Disney enthusiasts who share our belief that loving Disney as an adult is something to celebrate, not explain.
Meet the Creator
Hi! I'm the creator behind Grown Up Magic.
My Disney journey began as a child watching VHS tapes of classic Disney films on repeat, but it truly blossomed during my first trip to Walt Disney World as an adult. Walking down Main Street U.S.A. with fresh eyes, I understood why Walt called it the "happiest place on Earth" - it wasn't just for kids.
As a software developer by profession, I combined my technical skills with my passion for Disney to build Grown Up Magic. I wanted to create something that fellow Disney adults would love - a place that respects our enthusiasm and treats Disney fandom as the legitimate hobby it is.
When I'm not working on the site or refreshing Disney news feeds, you can find me planning my next Disney trip, watching Disney+ documentaries about Imagineering, or debating which park has the best snacks (it's Epcot, and I will die on this hill).
