BREAKING: Disney Reportedly Planning 1,000 Layoffs Under New CEO Josh D’Amaro

According to a Wall Street Journal report, Disney is preparing to lay off 1000 positions under the new leadership of Josh D’Amaro. In the coming weeks, says the Wall Street Journal, the entertainment company is planning to eliminate as many as 1,000 positions as one of the first significant moves under Josh D’Amaro, Disney’s new Chief Executive Officer. Many of the cuts will be in the recently consolidated marketing department under the code name “Project Imagine,” but the exact breakdown of the layoffs was not provided. The company combined marketing for entertainment, experiences and sports under a single chief marketing officer, Asad Ayaz, in January....
