Classic Disney Hotel Going Through Years-Long Transformation

Disney's Contemporary Resort is entering a refurbishment phase. The 54-year-old hotel, which opened on October 1, 1971, alongside Magic Kingdom, will undergo exterior work on the main tower starting March 23, 2026, following maintenance that began in September 2024. This work may affect views from various locations and is expected to continue through late 2027.
