‘Songs in Sign Language’ Special Reanimates Disney Hits in ASL for Disney+

Disney fans who are hard-of-hearing or otherwise can enjoy an upcoming Disney+ special that reimagines popular Disney songs through American Sign Language. Honor National Deaf History Month with Disney’s ‘Songs in Sign Language’ Disney+ will debut a new short-form special titled “Disney Animation’s Songs in Sign Language” on April 27 in honor of National Deaf History Month. The animation special reimagines musical moments from several recent Walt Disney Animation Studios films using American Sign Language (ASL), presenting the songs through newly animated sequences that integrate sign language into the original films’ visual storytelling. The special will feature three popular songs from recent Disney films: “The Next Right Thing” from Frozen II, “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” from Encanto, and “Beyond” from Moana 2....
