Christmas preparations are in full swing at Disney World and more holiday decorations have gone up at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.Jollywood Nights StageThe Disney Jollywood Nights stage was installed last week, and more details have been added around it. The stage, in front of Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, is for the “ice-skating” show Glisten!There are now light-up snowflakes on posts behind the stage. There are also lights across the front of the stage.Blue and white snowy patterns are around the edges of the stage. It’s covered in white tarps to keep it protected during the day.Stage lighting has been set up to either side. The towers are surrounded by blue and white snowflake walls.Disney’s Hollywood Studios EntranceExtra lights have also been installed at the entrance to Disney’s Hollywood Studios.Mickey’s of HollywoodThe park’s flagship gift shop, Mickey’s of Hollywood, has Christmas merchandise and decorations. Flats of Santa Mickey and Mrs. Claus Minnie are above a wall of holiday merchandise.Santa’s sleigh is atop a round display with a Santa Mickey plush and more gifts inside.There are small Christmas trees and stacks of red gift boxes on other displays.Sunset BoulevardSunset Boulevard is now lined with its classic red and white tinsel stars. These are attached to lampposts on both sides of the street leading to The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror.We have yet to see decorations in the Echo Lake area, including the park’s Christmas tree and Gertie’s Santa hat and ornament.Disney Jollywood NightsJollywood Nights is on select nights from November 8 through December 22. During the media event, we got our first look at a limited release opening day pin and mystery pins.The opening day pin resembles one of the attraction posters with Judy, Nick, and Clawhauser in front of the Tree of Life. Other pins feature Flash and Gazelle. The latter is a Passholder-exclusive.The mystery pins are all circular with a different character or the Tree of Life pictured in the center. It will be available at Isle of Java.The Bunny Burrow Brew, also coming to Isle of Java, is Joffrey’s French Roast Cold Brew with condensed milk and blueberry syrup garnished with whipped cream, a sugar carrot, and chocolate crisp “blueberries.”The Cub Soda is Sprite with blueberry syrup and a pawpsicle-inspired ice cube. After running clockwise on Sunday, the Magic Kingdom Monorail has changed again, resuming its regular counter-clockwise operations.Magic Kingdom Express Monorail LoopThe Express Monorail that directly connects Magic Kingdom to the Transportation and Ticket Center reversed direction, running clockwise on Sunday. It’s back to running counter-clockwise as of Monday morning.The Resort Monorail runs clockwise and the change was thought to provide a simpler and easier way to swap out trains when a breakdown occurs. Cast Members could move the train off the loop and into the monorail barn quicker because it’s already going in the right direction to go through the switch track.Walt Disney World MonorailThe Walt Disney World Monorail system is dubbed the “public transport of the future.” The system opened with the resort in 1971. When EPCOT opened in 1982, it was expanded to visit the second park.It currently runs twelve Mark VI Monorails across three lines. Each train is identified by their main color. Shanghai Disney Resort will add a fourth hotel and expand its shopping and dining district, marking another major milestone.

Shanghai Disney Resort has shockingly announced the construction of a 4th resort hotel, while the 3rd remains under construction and is still without a name.Shanghai Disney Resort Hotel ConstructionNighttime concept art of Shanghai Disney Resort’s 4th hotel, located just steps away from Shanghai Disneyland park and an expanded DisneytownIn an Instagram post, Shanghai Disney Resort shared the following along with the new art above:We’re once again expanding the fun! #ShanghaiDisneyResort is building a fourth Disney themed hotel, and expanding our shopping, dining, and entertainment district!The new hotel will be located immediately adjacent to the #ShanghaiDisney entrance, making it the closest Disney hotel to the park and a perfect gateway for guests to begin their magical experience.The new development will include new shopping experiences!The announcement comes as Shanghai Disneyland hits a significant milestone, welcoming its 100 millionth guest in just over nine years!Stay tuned for more exciting updates!The 4th hotel will be located near the entrance of Shanghai Disneyland and will easily be the closest to the park entrance.Image copyright Google MapsAs seen above, it is believed that the 4th resort hotel will be located to the right of the park entrance on an expansion pad that has been earmarked for such a project since before the opening of the park in 2016. Disneytown is the shopping and dining district adjacent to the park (to the left in the above aerial map), acting as the Downtown Disney or Disney Springs of Shanghai Disney Resort. It appears there will be new shopping and dining opportunities as part of Disneytown that will now reach around and to the right of the park’s main entrance.The still-unnamed 3rd hotel at Shanghai Disney Resort (seen above) will have Art Nouveau-inspired architecture paying homage to Shanghai’s early 20th-century architectural legacy. It will be the smallest of Shanghai Disney Resort’s three hotels with just 400 rooms. The two hotels currently open at the resort are the 420-room Shanghai Disneyland Hotel and the 795-room Toy Story Hotel. Based on the concept art, the 4th hotel seems to be another 5-story hotel with probably only a few hundred rooms, but that is not confirmed at this time. No additional details on the 4th hotel have been announced, and we will probably have to wait until we have more details on the currently-under-construction 3rd hotel before we learn more. Black Forest Collection Kitchen Mitten – $14.99Kitchen Tea Towel – $19.99Throw Blanket – $44.99Apron – $39.99Mug – $24.99Adult T-Shirt -$36.99Adult T-Shirt – $46.99Sweatshirt – $49.99Backpack – $69.99Wristlet – $34.99Ear Headband – $36.99The collection is described as follows:Inspired by the folk costumes of Germany’s Black Forest (Schwarzwald) region, this merchandise collection showcases the shapes, colors, florals, and patterns of southwestern Baden’s rich history. One of the most iconic fashion accessories is the bollenhut, a wide-brimmed hat adorned with red pom-poms.We found the merchandise for sale at Das Kaufhaus.Kitchen Mitten – $14.99Minnie is featured wearing a traditional bollenhut in the midst of a floral pattern on the blue oven mitt. On the opposite side, Mickey joins her alongside a repeating pattern with “Germany Pavilion | EPCOT World Showcase” logo and flowers. Kitchen Tea Towel – $19.99The tea towel has a floral Minnie Mouse icon on one side and the “Germany Pavilion | EPCOT World Showcase” print on the other. A blue stripe lines either side and is covered in a matching floral pattern. Throw Blanket – $44.99The 50 x 60 inch throw blanket features Mickey and Minnie standing in front of the Schwarzwald, or Black Forest, region. Both are wearing traditional German clothing to match the scene. Apron – $39.99The floral Minnie icon covers the top section of the apron while the Mickey and Minnie floral pattern makes up the bottom. A white stripe separates the two sections. Mug – $24.99Mickey and Minnie standing in front of the Schwarzwald is also the focus of the coffee mug. The “Germany Pavilion | EPCOT World Showcase” wordmark and floral Minnie icon are featured on the opposite side. The handle is also covered in a floral pattern. The interior of the mug is green and has a Mickey icon in the bottom. Adult T-Shirt -$36.99Next up is a feminine cut T-shirt. Minnie is wearing her bollenhut surrounded by flowers and “Germany Pavilion | EPCOT World Showcase” is screen printed below. Ear Headband – $36.99Colorful Cuckoo Clocks are the star of this ear headband. Both are likely inspired by the traditional Cuckoo Clocks from the Black Forest region. Each is surrounded by a U-shaped floral pattern. The interior of the headband is made from yellow velour. “Deutschland Pavilion” and “EPCOT World Showcase” are printed on either side of the headband in yellow text.
