Major Part of Rivers of America Removed as Construction Continues

It appears one major piece of the former Rivers of America at Disney World is now gone as crews continue to demolish the area that will become the future Piston Peak. Construction ContinuesThe bridge that once crossed the waterway from the main part of Tom Sawyer Island to the Fort Longhorn Island appears to have been removed. Guests could travel between the two islands, and Fort Longhorn offered guests views of the Rivers of America and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. Our Disney World reporter headed over to Frontierland recently to check on the construction and did not see the bridge anymore....
